Everything we saw at the Black Lives Matter protest in Detroit on Friday, May 29

Black Lives Matter protesters demonstrated outside Detroit’s Public Safety Headquarters on Friday, May 29, following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. While it started peacefully, at night police clashed with protesters, dispersing tear gas. A 21-year-old man was reportedly killed in a shooting during the melée, though it is not clear who shot him.
