Black Lives Matter protesters demonstrated outside Detroit’s Public Safety Headquarters on Saturday, May 30, following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. While it started peacefully, at night police clashed with protesters, dispersing tear gas. A 21-year-old man was reportedly killed in a shooting during the melée, though it is not clear who shot him.
