The top 20 restaurants in Detroit, according to Yelp

Detroit's food scene is growing quickly, and these days everyone seems to consider themselves a "foodie." On top of that, there's this often-hilarious review site that gives the everyman a chance to share his deeply contemplative thoughts on Texas Roadhouse.

We checked Yelp to find Detroiter's 20 favorite restaurants in the city and we were pretty impressed with the results. Locals seem to be enamored with some of the city's newest joints, but are also still loving on old favorites like Mudgie's.

The restaurant has a great vibe, great service, and fantastic food. There's normally a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. Plenty of street parking around the area, and it's not in a cramped corner of the city.”

You have your choice of outdoor patio seating, high top tables in the bar or intimate booths tucked neatly away in hidden corners in this trendy space. And being a wine bar why wouldn't one of the main choices of decorating accents include bottles of wine strategically stacked and stored all around this beautiful space accented with wood and metals.”

Get here early if you want a spot, although sometimes you can get lucky and find a place by the bar. I'd recommend eating at the bar here, as it makes it easier to try a slider and a drink and then order a few more when you're finished with the first round. Repeat until you can't fit anymore in your belly, and you have a satisfying afternoon!”
