This $459k mid century modern house in Saginaw was designed by architect Daniel Toshach — let’s take a tour

Remember that movie Sliding Doors? OK, well this stunning Saginaw property has literally nothing to do with that classic Gwyneth Paltrow vehicle but it does have a whopping seven sliding glass doors to help bring the great outdoors into these great indoors.

Built in 1973 for and by beloved architect Daniel Toshach and his wife Clarice, this four bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 3,559 sqft home in Saginaw includes two pole barns and is situated along Swan Creek on just under five acres.

For this design Toshach, who designed several high schools, as well as popular destinations such as Frankemuth's Bavarian Inn, utilized his surroundings as evidenced by the home's ample windows, skylights, sliding doors, and use of wood detail and other high-end materials. Though updates have been made, most notably to the kitchen, they have been done so with care and intention to honor Toshach's vision.
