Protesters marched for the eighth straight night to rally against police brutality and the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, who would have turned 27 on Friday. Demonstrators peacefully defied the 8 p.m. curfew, marching on the west side and down Woodward. Police escorted the march, and no arrests were reported. The march stopped at the intersection formerly known as 12th and Clairmount, the site of the incident that sparked Detroit's 1967 summer of civil unrest, where people came out of their houses the support the protesters.
