Downtown Detroit was aglow on Friday, Nov. 22, for the 16th annual tree lighting, during which a Michigan-grown Norwegian Spruce was festooned with more than 19,000 lights and ornaments. The event also delivered performances by the Detroit Youth Choir and Mayer Hawthorne, as well as Olympic figure skaters Yuka Sato and Mirai Nagasu.
