the city’s amazing hip-hop artists. That first year, the event packed the Shelter (a venue steeped in Detroit music history, might we add) and this year the popular show had to be moved to the adjoining St. Andrew’s Hall with headliners DeJ Loaf and Oba Rowland. Rowland’s performance makes this year’s Detroit Day extra special considering he’ll be releasing his debut EP just days before the event. Doors open at 7 p.m.; 431 E.
